Handmade Liposuction — NB Technique
Surgeon-Led Hand Sculpting Handmade Liposuction
We do not rely on power devices alone. The surgeon who designed your plan personally maneuvers the cannula in a hands-on procedure to help build an even fat layer and natural lines.
YOUR CONCERN
Do any of these concerns sound familiar?
- I worry the result may look uneven after liposuction
- I am concerned adhesion could develop after surgery
- I wonder whether liposuction using only power devices is risky
- I want natural lines but am not sure it is possible
- I want a proper result from the start, without needing revision
NB HANDMADE TECHNIQUE
Handmade technique changes the outcome
Liposuction done with power equipment alone is fundamentally different from the NB handmade technique.
Meticulous handwork helps create natural lines and a lower likelihood of adhesion.
NB Handmade
Performed by hand by the head surgeon
The same head surgeon who designs the plan at your first consultation personally guides the cannula in the operating room. When the surgeon who designed the plan operates directly, the intended lines can be realized.
Maintaining an even fat layer
Rather than relying on power suction alone, the surgeon adjusts the cannula's direction and pressure by hand. This helps keep the remaining fat layer even and aims to minimize unevenness.
A low-adhesion dissection strategy
The directions and depths where adhesion tends to form are planned in advance. Dissection is carried out with the possibility of revision in mind, which helps reduce the likelihood of adhesion afterward.
Careful finishing by area
Borders and line transitions are refined with particular care. The connecting lines that look natural when dressed are the result of hand finishing.
Standard power liposuction
Primarily power-equipment driven
Strong suction removes fat quickly. It is fast, but fine control is difficult and there is a possibility of damage to surrounding tissue.
An uneven fat layer
Relying on power can leave the fat layer unevenly distributed. This may lead to surface unevenness and line issues around the borders.
Relatively higher risk of adhesion
Excessive dissection or uneven removal can increase the likelihood of adhesion. This can make correction more difficult if revision is needed.
Insufficient border finishing
The border between the treated area and its surroundings may be left looking unnatural. Surface irregularities can appear especially in thinner areas.
NB uses power equipment (VASER2 · BodyTite) to help prepare the fat layer and encourage skin retraction, while the line design and finishing are completed by the head surgeon's own handwork. Combining equipment with the handmade technique is central to NB's results.
COMPARISON
Handmade vs. Conventional Liposuction
| Comparison | NB Handmade | Conventional Power Liposuction |
|---|---|---|
| Surgical Approach | The surgeon personally maneuvers the cannula by hand from start to finish | Relies on the intensity of power devices to remove fat in large volumes |
| Line Design | Evenly adjusts the fat layer left behind to help complete natural lines | Focused on total removal, which can leave line borders or balance uneven |
| Adhesion Risk | Uses a dissection direction that considers even potential revision, helping to lower the likelihood of adhesion | Excessive dissection or uneven removal can raise the possibility of adhesion |
| Aftercare | Provides a systematic compression and care protocol to help stabilize the lines | Individualized care may be limited, at the level of standard recovery guidance |

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Does handmade liposuction take longer than conventional liposuction?
Because it involves a greater share of hands-on work, it may take longer than conventional, power-focused liposuction. However, since meticulous finishing can influence the quality of the result and the possibility of revision, NB does not skip this time.
Q. Do you not use power devices at all?
No. At NB, VASER2 ultrasound helps prepare the fat layer efficiently, and BodyTite is used alongside it for skin tightening. Devices are used in the preparation stage, while line design and finishing are completed by the surgeon's own hands-on work.
Q. Does the handmade technique actually lower the likelihood of adhesion?
Hands-on surgery allows precise control of dissection depth and direction. In particular, carefully refining the border areas and line transitions may help reduce the possibility of adhesion caused by uneven removal. Individual results vary depending on constitution and the scope of surgery.
Q. Which areas is it most effective for?
The advantages of hands-on work stand out most in areas where line borders and balance matter, such as the arms, abdomen, thighs and hip line. Careful finishing of the borders and an even fat layer can help increase satisfaction with the result.
Q. Can it be applied to revision patients as well?
Yes. In revision cases, existing adhesion tissue and an uneven fat layer are intricately intertwined, making them difficult to address with power devices alone. Hands-on dissection precisely separates the adhesion and redesigns the lines.
