Why This Happens
Why does this happen?
The hip line is decided by how it connects to the waist and how it proportions against the thigh. Adding volume alone does not produce a natural hip line. A hip dip makes the hip read as sagging in profile, and when the waist-hip-thigh proportions are off, it looks unnatural from every angle.
Body Structure
The hip line comes from three connections
A hip line is decided together by ① the waist-to-hip connection, ② hip dip volume, and ③ the hip-to-thigh connection. Adding volume alone leaves the hip dip unfilled and the profile line unnatural. The three connections have to be designed as one.
