Facelift – structural lifting
Surgical Facelift

Not pulling, we restore the structure

A facelift is a structural lifting surgery that analyzes sagging tissue, lower-face heaviness, and jawline/neckline changes together to reposition the SMAS layer.

Concern of lower-face sagging and heaviness

If non-surgical feels insufficient

Jowls and lower-face heaviness, marionette lines, a blurred jawline, a lax neckline — when sagging is advanced, support/elasticity reinforcement alone may fall short.

If sagging has deepened the structure must be seen

Facelift sagging analysis map

We first analyze where and how much has sagged

Mid-face descent

When the cheeks descend, the front grows heavy, and the nasolabial folds deepen

Jowls · blurred jawline

When sagging bunches along the mandible and the jawline contour blurs

Mouth corners · marionette

When the mouth corners drop and the lower face looks tired

Neckline laxity

When the neck sags and the face–neck transition becomes blunt

We reposition the structure, not the skin

Facelift SMAS-layer repositioning principle

It's structural repositioning of the SMAS layer, not skin pulling

1

Lower-face · neckline analysis

We analyze the depth of sagging, skin elasticity, and jawline/neckline changes together.

2

SMAS-layer approach

We approach not only the skin but the SMAS-layer structure beneath it.

3

Structural repositioning

Rather than pulling, we reposition the sagging tissue back into place.

4

An overcorrection-free finish

We adjust so that tension is not excessively applied to the skin, for a natural finish.

Thread lift and facelift, we first judge the boundary

Thread lift

Approached as support/elasticity reinforcement when sagging is mild

Energy-based procedure

When elasticity/contour support is the main goal

Facelift

When sagging is advanced and structural repositioning is needed

Keeping my facial identity, without overcorrection

01

Repositioning, not pulling

Pulling only the skin becomes unnatural. We reposition the SMAS-layer structure to aim for a result that doesn't look pulled.

02

Overcorrection prevention

We aim for a natural improvement that keeps your original facial identity, not an over-pulled impression.

03

Integrated lower-face–neckline design

We consider not only the face but the line running from face to neck, designing the overall balance.

Facelift consultation · analysis

We analyze precisely, starting from the depth of sagging

depth of sagging, skin elasticity, neckline contourand lower-face balance, we analyze to judge whether you are at a stage suited to a facelift. As a principle, we design as much structural correction as needed, not an excessive surgery.

Facelift result image

Not a pulled face, but a refined impression

We aim for a result where the lower face and neckline are refined naturally, not an over-pulled impression. Results, duration, and recovery may vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from a thread lift?

A thread lift supports and reinforces tissue when sagging is mild. A facelift is a surgical method that repositions the SMAS-layer structure when sagging is advanced — the indications themselves differ.

Is it a surgery that pulls the skin?

It is the concept of repositioning the SMAS layer beneath the skin, not simply pulling the skin. We adjust so excessive tension isn't applied to the skin, considering naturalness and scar burden together.

Won't the result look unnatural?

We design to avoid overcorrection and keep your original facial identity. That said, results and recovery vary with your individual tissue condition.

How long does it last?

Because it corrects the structure, longer-lasting results than non-surgical approaches can be expected; however, duration varies from person to person and is not uniformly guaranteed.

What about recovery and swelling?

As it is an incisional surgery, a certain period of recovery with swelling/bruising may accompany it. Recovery speed and degree vary from person to person, and we explain them in detail during consultation.

In what cases is a consultation needed?

When it's hard to judge on your own whether a thread lift or energy-based procedure is sufficient, or whether you are at a stage needing structural lifting, it's good to first confirm the indication through consultation.
