FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q.When is the best time of year to have laser treatment?
We recommend concentrating treatment from autumn to spring, when UV is weaker, and switching to maintenance in summer. That said, pigment and hair removal can proceed regardless of season.
Q.Can I have several lasers on the same day?
Yes. At NB, based on the skin diagnosis, we combine 2–3 lasers in stages within the same visit. The order and interval are decided by the doctor according to your skin on the day.
Q.When can I wash my face and wear make-up after the treatment?
With toning and Genesis-type lasers, you can wash and wear make-up the same day. With fractional CO₂ and Er:YAG, washing is possible after 48–72 hours, and make-up is recommended only once all crusting has come away.
Q.How many skin laser sessions do I need?
Toning and Genesis-type lasers are a basic course of 4–6 sessions. Fractional regeneration is often carried out over 2–4 sessions. The number needed varies with the state of the skin, so we decide it together in consultation.
Q.How many sessions does laser hair removal need?
Because it acts only on follicles in the growth phase, it is divided across several sessions. The number needed can vary with hair type and area.
Q.Is pico laser tattoo removal very painful?
It is performed after topical anaesthetic cream, so for most people it is bearable. What you feel differs with the colours and the location of the tattoo, and the doctor explains this before starting.
